Factory resilience guides for garment manufacturers
The COVID-19 pandemic has hit Asian garment manufacturers and workers particularly hard, leading to severe impacts on people's well-being and livelihoods. To support the garment sector’s resilience and recovery throughout this period, the ILO has developed a series of practical guides for garment factory managers. The series titled “Building resilience during and after the COVID-19 pandemic” helps factory managers address common issues and make critical decisions amidst the pandemic. All of the guides feature an action-oriented checklist for managers to continue operations in a safe and sustainable manner.
There are six guides available here and on the ILO website:
- Managing your cash flow
 - Reducing costs
 - Finding alternative sources of income
 - Going online: Establishing an online presence
 - Organizing the factory for safer and more efficient operations
 - Communicating with your workers

The COVID-19 business resilience guides were developed by the ILO Enterprises department for the Decent Work in the Garment Sector Supply Chains in Asia project, funded by the Government of Sweden.
